My Geeky Trip to Germany – Day 2 – Alphacool.

posted on February 9, 2016 / 0 Comments

Day 2 is already over!!! Damn, this trip is going fast!! Today I visited Alphacool and met the people behind the water blocks and learnt how they were measured, learnt about how they do their quality control, saw some new products, some I will be showing soon, some I am not allowed to talk about (but they are pretty awesome!). So, the day started at 6.30am, I got ready and went for breakfast with Atila and Aleksander from www.pcaxe.com, they have come from Serbia and Hungary to here and they are awesome guys! I, of course, took RGBear! We then got picked …

My Geeky Trip to Germany – Day 1 - Aquatuning.

posted on February 8, 2016 / 0 Comments

So Today I woke up at 3 am, had a quick bath and got the shuttle to my airport, it was only 5 minutes away, but I had a few bags and it was raining, but I didn't let it dampen my spirits, it was Germany day!!! Boarding the flight was a strange one.... there were only 12 of us on the flight!!! It meant we could all get 2 seats each to stretch out - Nice! Of course RGBear wanted to look out of the window the whole way! So I landed in Hannover 25 minutes early, left the departure gate …

My Geeky Trip to Germany - Day 0

posted on February 7, 2016 / 1 Comment

Well, I am currently in my hotel room, less than half a mile away from the airport waiting to fall asleep ready to meet the guys and gals at Alphacool. I have been looking forward to this for a while now so I am excited to go! For now though, I am here (with RGBear - my teddy companion). I was going to play some games, but I thought that would keep me awake, typing usually tires me out :D So, I thought I would somewhat document where I am going, what I am doing and the reason for my trip, …

BitFenix Pandora ATX Review

posted on February 2, 2016 / 0 Comments

Introduction, Packaging and Accessories Well, I have a little bit of a soft spot for the original Pandora, it wasn't the best case in the world by any stretch of the imagination and it had quite a few little flaws but I really enjoyed working on it and my "Pandora's Purple Box" build got a lot of attention all over the world! When I was looking for my next review, I was asked if I could take a look at the new BitFenix Pandora ATX. It was a no brainer for me, I wanted to see if BitFenix had moved their …

Vortex Pok3R (Poker 3) 60% Keyboard Overview + Video

posted on December 27, 2015 / 0 Comments

60% keyboards have started to really interest me, I first bought a KBP V60 from www.pexonpcs.co.uk and had a lot of fun playing around with it and generally falling in love with the small footprint of the keyboard, but with pretty much the same functionality. A few days ago I bought my second 60% keyboard and also ordered a 65% keyboard which should be arriving in March. The one that arrived a couple of days ago was the Vortex Pok3r (Poker III). This is the updated version of the Poker II which has been very popular amongst 60% keyboard fans. There are …

Venom PC PRO Warrior Keyboard Review

posted on November 20, 2015 / 1 Comment

This is somewhat a first for me, I have never reviewed a peripheral that hasn't already had a lot of reviews or exposure already, so far I haven't seen any other reviews, but then again, I try not to read other reviews before giving my opinion so mine is not biassed. Today, I am going to be looking at a keyboard from Venom UK. As the name suggests, this company was founded in the UK in 1999 and have mainly being producing gaming accessories for consoles such as controllers, charging docks and headsets. As a PC enthusiast, I rarely use …

MSI Hermes Backpack Review

posted on November 8, 2015 / 0 Comments

I have been doing a lot of travelling lately and I have been taking my GS70 2QE STEALTH PRO - Silver Edition every where I go. I am loving this laptop, being able to play games at full settings whilst sat waiting in airports or whilst sat on the train has been awesome! My only mistake is not buying one earlier! Anyway, I did have a laptop bag from MSI, but in a rush at the airport I managed to rip off the zip on the front pouch which wasn't my best idea! I mentioned it to one of the MSI …

I Went to Holland to See In Win and Meet Some Fellow Modders!

posted on November 6, 2015 / 2 Comments

Here is my first "blog" type post, I don't know how many of these I will do, or how often, but I wanted to add something a little more personal than just my mods and reviews. This will be my most recent experience in the world of computing, going to Holland!!! This started with my computer on the In Win stand at Insomnia 55, whilst it was there, one of the lovely reps asked if they could use it for a show in Holland for a few days. I of course accepted as I love to show off my work and …

Alphacool - A Closer Look

posted on October 22, 2015 / 0 Comments

Well, this is the first of a series of little posts I want to do. These are not really going to be reviews as such, they are more of a quick look at the product, seeing what they are and what they reportedly do as well as me giving my opinion on the products. First up its Alphacool. Alphacool have been in the water cooling business for over a decade and are one of the longest running, most popular companies for cooling in the world. Based in Germany with resellers all over the world your never far away from an Alphacool fitting. …

DXRacer Maximum Series Gaming Chair Review

posted on October 9, 2015 / 2 Comments

So, I was at an event with the OcUK guys and they had all these fancy chairs on their stand. IIRC, they had the AK racer ones. As I'm a man of science, I made sure I spent a few hours sat down to ensure that the chairs were working ok ;) . I did like these chairs and one thing really stood out for me... leather felt far better than fabric. When I got home, I started to look into buying one and noticed that OcUK had actually got stock of DXRacer chairs!!! I had seen a few reviews about …
